 Ms. Gupta specializes in major litigation relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, trade secrets and trade dress infringement. She has been involved in all phases of Intellectual Property litigation, from pre-filing investigations to discovery, trial and appeal. Her practice also includes consultation in computer systems, telecommunications and other high technology matters. She has extensive experience with "Markman" Claim Construction hearings and corresponding briefing process, summary judgment hearings and preliminary injunction hearings. Ms. Gupta is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association, the Calendar Committee of The Historical Society of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the South Asian Bar Association. She is fluent in Hindi.

In re '318 Patent Litigation (D. Del. 2005). Represented one of seven defendants in a patent infringement suit filed under 35 U.S.C. § 271(c)(2) regarding ANDA filing for an Alzheimer's pharmaceutical drug sold under the name Razdyne®/Reminyl®.
American Medical Technologies, Inc. v. Velopex International, Inc. (S.D. Tx. 2005). Represented defendant in a patent infringement suit involving dental instrumentation.
Sanofi-Aventis, Sanofi-Synthelabo Inc., and Bristol-Myers Squibb Sanofi Pharmaceuticals Holding Partnership v. Apotex Inc. and Apotex Corp. (S.D.N.Y. 2003). Represented defendants in a patent infringement suit filed under 35 U.S.C. § 271(c)(2) regarding ANDA filing for an anti-platelet pharmaceutical drug sold under the name Plavix®.
Syntex (U.S.A.) LLC and Allergan, Inc. v. Apotex, Inc. Apotex Corp., and Novex Pharma (Fed. Cir. 2004). Represented appellant and was successful in getting a reversal and remand to the district court for further consideration of the validity of a patent for an ophthalmic pharmaceutical drug sold under the name Acular®.
Thomas Medical, Inc. v. Guidant Corporation (E.D. Pa. 2001). Represented plaintiff in a patent infringement suit involving medical devices.
Friedrich Zettl GMBH v. Bloomingdale's, et al. (N.D. Ill. 1999). Represented defendant QVC, Inc. in a patent infringement suit involving jewelry.
Design By Us Co. v. Best Foods, Inc. and Sherri Cup, Inc. (E.D. Pa. 1999). Represented plaintiffs in a patent infringement suit involving insulated containers and holders.
Neutronics, Inc. v. Janos Technology, Inc. and Yokogawa Corp. America (E.D. Pa. 1998). Represented defendants in a suit involving claims and counterclaims for patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, copyright infringement, breach of agreement, tortious interference with contractual relations and unfair competition involving a device for identifying refrigerant gases.
Boris Beizer and International Publishing, Inc. v. Motorola (E.D. Pa. 1996) Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Represented defendant for claims of copyright infringement and unfair competition.
Wawa Market v. HaafII, Tamilee Haaf d/b/a HAHA 24 HR. MARKET, a/k/a HAHA (3rd Cir. 1996). Represented plaintiff-appelle in an appeal from the District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania involving a claim for trademark dilution.
